You would need a scanner to read the codes. Chances are it would be the wire to a wheel sensor
Ordinary OBD II code readers will not read ABS codes. For that you need a reader that can read ABS codes.
Your basic code reader yes, The one I have does. Any reputable shop would have the capability to read all code types.
First check all four sensors on each wheel to make sure the problem is not a wire related problem. While you are doing that, clean the sensor(s). I've seem them get completely covered with mud and debris causing them to malfunction.
