Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I live in Anchorage, Alaska and its cold right now, so my truck starts but it won't stay on and i have to push on the gas for a few minutes for it to keep going by its self. it mainly happens in the morning and sometimes after work, i took it to an auto shop who said ran analyze on my truck and said everything was fine but wanted me to leave my car overnight outside to see what happens for them in the morning, unfortunately I have 1 vehicle and i can't do that any advice or ideas

I have no idea what or why to find either of these, should i take it to an auto shop or how would i clean it?

I would recommend taking it to a trusted mechanic. It could be something else, but the usual cause of no idle is the IAC (idle air control).

Replacing the spark plugs won't hurt and you may need to get an engine block heater.

Full_of_Regrets, I'd just move. Too damned cold in Alaska in the winter for this flat-lander candy ass.

I am from there but I agree. As cold places go, Anchorage is not all that bad, especially compared to Fairbanks.
