Asked by GuruTLYVT Jun 28, 2018 at 09:27 AM about the 2001 Ford F-150 XL SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 f-150 4.6l. It is miss firing
on #4 cylinder. I have swapped coil
with #3 cylinder and # 4 is still missing.
Can you please tell me what else to
look at.

Change the #4 plug with a new one. Ive always swapped them with a known good cyl i.e. coil4/2 plug 4/1 just because 1 and 2 are easy to get to for whichever part was bad but plugs are cheap and you will most likely be putting new ones in anyway save yourself the extra work.
