map lights go on when door closed off when door opened

I have 2002 supercrew
the rear map lights work exactly backwards I have changed relay
no help  they are on when dome lights off and go off when dome lights are on
cant turn off unless dome light on

Map lights should only work when you turn the switch on. Switch is on the dome light. The switch may be bad.

problem solved For info to all These rear map lights are sensitive to left or right side they are marked on the underside with a LH or R when installed with this in mind they work perfect Thanks to all form help Ken
