Has anyone had any experience with performance chips. I have a 2002 F150 super crew, 5.4 engine, 2wd, gas. I am looking to improve mpg.

There is no such thing as a chip for a 2002 F150. Tuning is done with a handheld tuner such as SCT. To improve mileage maintain proper tire pressure and change rear differential fluid, transmission fluid and engine oil to synthetic lubricants. Follow proper maintenance intervals for air filter and sparkplugs. Drive with a light touch on the throttle. A 5.4 Ford engine will not get great fuel mileage.

Do not waste your money. If the manufacturer could boost the MPG's with just a chip they would have done it. Great advertisement for them at no real cost.
