need help with 1.8 vvti

My 2002 geo prizim has 1.8 and I have only 3cyilinder running the fourth one is firing /but it is orange not blue wil not hit at all does anyone have any idea what could it besides maybe taking the head off and checking for burnt valve or burnt piston thank you for any help u can give me

why take the head off? try new wires and plugs.your valves have nothing to do with how much spark you have.

Yes I'm having the same problem did u happen to find anything to help yours did u find out what was causing it

no pal! I'm here yo help you with YOUR problem. My vehicles run GREAT! sooo,did you replace the plug wires or that coil? how about spark plugs? Before you go and pull heads off you need to eliminate the obvious.

I have already changed plugs and wires it does have lower compression on number four cylinder but a couple of people has said something about the vvti timing I don't really know nothing about that so I was checking if anyone else has had that problem

variable valve timing will not give you low compression on 1 cylinder. how many miles? and what were your compression readings?
