The latch is at the top of the door. Pry out the top a little so a flat tool can be placed. You have to manually released the lock mechanism at the top. ONce the door is open you can change the cable from the inside after removing the panel.
what about the bottom latch,

It took a while but I figured it out. Sit in back as best you can and put your left hand through the speaker hole and reach down to where the lock is. It has a piece of sheet metal over it so it's located in an enclosed area, open only on that one side. Anyway, reach in and on top of the lock is a little lever you can push or pull--don't really remember--but move it and when you do the door will open so you can now unscrew the lock.

Found the lever and pushed down and door came open. Did not have to remove speaker. Thank you very much, very helpful.
I’ve been trying to get mine open for days. The cable was already off, so I never got to see what I’m supposed to pry on and nothing moves no matter how hard I push or pull on it. Tried to take photos to see, but can’t see anything in them. Does anybody have a photo for a 2002 F250 latch the bottom latch and what I have to pry to get it to release?
