2002 chevy suburban z71

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dash says service 4x4 and when I put it in drive it
doesn't move forward. Can I remove front drive
shaft and still drive it?

If your not moving forward the front driveshaft being there or not won't matter. Either your transmission is toast or the transfer case is. Best case scenario the transfer case is stuck in neutral
