4x4 not working.

The 4x4  light on the dash of my 2006 F150 comes on when I turn the switch but the 4x4 doesn't engage. Wandering, ball park figure, what this could  cost me to fix.

2002 ford f150 2x4 doesn't when I turn the switch but the 2x4 doesn't engage and went I drive the truck start making nosie in the back
