2006 F150 4x4 not working

Asked by Nijaul Feb 06, 2022 at 12:09 AM about the 2006 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew Styleside

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2006 F150 4x4 not working, no light. I used to tap the transfer case motor and
it would come on, but it finally quit. I just replaced the transfer case motor and
it is not working. If I switch it a few times, sometimes the light will blink once
quickly, but doesn't stay on. I checked fuses and they were good. Not sure
what to do next.

Unplug the transfer case shift motor and see if you then get a light of any kind, if not then you need to get your books and start checking the control switch, 4X4 module and wiring. Not going to be simple.
