Flooring it at 50 mph and it takes its sweet time speeding up
I'm having a problem with my 2006 F-150 with a 5.4L 3V, crew cab, and
139,500 miles. It has great off-the-line acceleration, but if I'm going 50+ mph
or so (runs about 1800 rpms at 50) and put the pedal on the floor, then it just
takes its sweet time gaining speed. The engine speeds up pretty fast when I
do this, but the actual truck doesn't. Anyone know what could be causing this
or know of any mods under $1k that would fix this? Any solutions would help.
Thank you guys
