on as far as lights and radio and they are not dim
like if i needed a battery. Im at a loss and dont
know what to do now. Any suggestions?

Do a quick voltage drop test to the starter, just to make sure it is receiving proper voltage (this will eliminate a bad terminal or connection as a culprit).
