Is it still necessary to change automotive crankcaser oil in 6 month max intervals

Asked by Guru9W2LL Jun 14, 2017 at 05:38 PM about the 1992 Ford F-250 2 Dr XLT Lariat 4WD Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a '92 Ford F250 that states the need to change the motor oil at 6 months or 5,000 mile intervals.  With the newer oil types around I wondered if the 6 month oil change interval still applies.

This is up to you. I would change oil every 3,000 miles with an older truck like yours.
