I have a short on the # 30 fuse and can't find out what it goes too. Started to work and it
just died on me and I found the fuse blown. I replaced it and as soon as I turn the switch
on it blows again. I disconnected the alt. and thought that might be it, but was wrong.

http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/99f23og1e.pdf ..Download that, the #30 fuse says PCM Power Relay This image is straight from owners manual..is that the one you mean, I circled in blue? PCM Relay ..click image to size up
Only thing it that's a relay not a fuse...if that's not the one which is it? Or this one is: PCM Relay Coil, Ignition Coil (Gasoline only), Fuel Heater (Diesel only), Wastegate Solenoid (Diesel only), Injector Driver Module Relay Coil (Diesel onl
That's a lot of things for just one fuse to run ain't it? It's a 30 amp fuse. How can I narrow down the problem?
Well it does not run everything, lot's of it is for the gas engine so not used. But copied and pasted from owners manual. Now, figuring out what is blowing the fuse is the hard part. Maybe disconnect each thing listed one at a time, turn on key and see if it blows. Wish I had a better suggestion...but all I can think of to do
I figured out my problem!!!! I have a bad glow plug. I disconnected one thing @ a time and went threw a whole bow of fuses before I found it. I wish ya'll all the luck. It can be very confusing when trying to figure these thing out.
