4WD not working

Nothing happens when I turn my ESOF to 4x4, no light on the dash, and no
engagement of the 4WD.  Where do I start?

Also, I have tried the vacuum test in that if my fan is set to face and I turn the 4x4 switch the blower doesn't switch to the defrost
