Lights went out Ford F350

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My headlights went completely out on my F350 '91 lariat
dually when I hit the floor high beam switch. Luckily roof
cab lights got me home with a large load of roundbales &
feed. It's a gas standard flatbed. Please advise!

Note the wiring diagram. See the fusible link, hot all the time, voltage goes to headlamp switch, use test light, check for voltage. See wire that goes from headlamp switch to dimmer, use test light, note wire color, with headlamp switch on, check that wire for voltage. From the dimmer, two wires, one for hi beam, the other for lo beam, notice wire color, check for voltage. At the actual headlamp in diagram, the top two wires are voltage, hi and lo beam. The bottom black wire is ground. I can only help with testing. good luck
You're fantastic! Thanks for the diagram!
PS I noticed the "ghetto" trailer is in the pic It has long since been gutted & redone. It's still referred to as the ghetto trailer when stating which trailer to hook up Now I have a pic to show the newbies why! I am not getting rid of Bertha. She has a new engine & transmission. I can't find a flat bed that big. I can load her with 5 roundbales. In granny low, she can haul a house! She can easily handle a loaded 6 horse. I need her fixed
I have a 1991 Ford F-350 XLT Lariant dually and the check engine light will turn on and then turn off when I start driving and when I slow down it turns back on and then turns off what do you think the issue would be?
