Transmission problem

2002 trailblazer started to hesitate in first and
second gear now the engine turns over and I can
move the shifter but will no go into any gears at all
and the transmission fluid is gray I have replaced
the fluid

When you move the shifter, does the digital area on the dash move with what gear you're in? If you move the shifter to D, does the light display show D also? If not, it's stuck in park and your plastic bushing on the linkeage is broken. $8 part. Can use Zip ties to get by. Here's the exact part you need IF that's your problem.
