low oil pressure

pressure goes to 0, check gauges, stop engine warning indicators rough idle and low rpm's happen. what is wrong?

Your Oil pump is ran off your timing chain on that. I believe. So I would suggest changing them. You might be able to adjust the tensioner on it though

Kirby, likely your oil pressure sensor is toast. Happens a lot, and is common, especially on the I6 engine. Right above the oil filter is your sensor. If it has oil on it, it's bad. Even if it doesn't, it's cheap and easy to replace, it's the 1st thing you should do.

Don't use the FRAM filter, and you'll be fine. I had a problem with low oil pressure. I changed everything I could. Eventually the problem was solved only when I replaced the FRAM filter with one from ACDelco.
