I think they both should fluctuate some what to what's actually happening
My GM maintenance shop manual specifies 200f-220f coolant temperature and 40 to 45 lbs. oil pressure For every 1,000 rpm 10 lbs of oil pressure is needed, 4,000 rpm will require 40, 6000 rpm require 60 lbs.
So I'm good, I'm in north Carolina and it's starting to heat up so I just wanna make sure I'm a ok
Dee, don't pay attention to the temp gauge, it's not right anyway on our 4.2 I6 engines. Always hook up a scanner and get true temperatures, which should match what your thermostat is rated at around 195. That being said, the junk gauge sitting at 210 is normal. Oil pressure is normal too. You're good. On a side note, if that gauge goes either higher or lower than 210, get your scanner out, you have a problem, which is easily fixed.

it sounds like , from what you said , that they stay on those points , regardless of cold , warm , idle , highway , is that the case ?
How come my temperature gauge is max out at high when the engine is off , just change the coolant sensor and thermostat. is the gauge bad
You have a bad stepper motor for the temperature guage. GM is famous for this. I think they finally fixed them more less on the trailblazers on the 07-09 models .
