Distance to Empty reads wrong. How do I fix it?

On the Message Center, the Distance to Empty reads wrong when it is filled up.  I do not know how to correct this.

I'm not sure if this is a configurable setting or if your fuel sending unit is faulty.

changed a plenty on these cars sending unit in tank,ps if you have never droped a gas tank take to mechanic for this fix ps make sure their is not much gas in tank.as close to empty as you can get it.
