My girlfriends 2006 Ford Taurus will only do 20mph and only hit 2000rpm No matter what I do

Car is acting like is not getting
enough fuel and Iv looked and
listened under the hood and could
hear a hissing like there is a vacuum
leak somewhere. I can't figure it out  
Please help

Any check engine lights on? Sounds like it could be a plugged catalytic converter.

Get the car scanned and it will tell you whats wrong. Autozone can scan it for free.
