What is the problem and can I fix this?

Asked by alex Dec 13, 2021 at 10:44 PM about the 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just wondering if this was part of my sub-frame and seeing
if it could be fixed. It's only on that side of the vehicle on the
back right tire.

It's a common issue on these vehicles. Water gets behind the spray in wheel well insulation that cracks. There is a fix. Dorman sells the sheet metal part that needs to be welded in by a body shop. Part no 924 358
