I have 1999 Honda cr-v . The emergency brake light has come on and the brake is not engaged. I puled it up and then dwn again but light will not go off. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Thanks

I think you should begin with checking energency break light connector. It is located on the floor under the break arm cover - please see photo. I Hope it helps...

if anyone else has this trouble that this lady had 5 years ago, check the level of the brake fluid, i had the same trouble, it seemed a bit low, i added fluid & the brake warning light went out
