Transmission

Asked by GuruY66XL Mar 29, 2018 at 07:47 PM about the 2000 Honda CR-V LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 00 Honda CR-V that I just
replaced a transmission that I bought of
eBay , I put it on my crv already but when
put it on reverse it don’t move at all I give it
gas and nothing I switch it to drive and it
makes cracking noise , when I switch back
to park it makes grinding noises. Now does
that mean the transmission I bought is a
lemon? Or is it a  solenoid

Do you know if the transmission is correct for your car?

Yes I double checked transmission looks and has the same things on it. Fits and it was a easy installation everything fits . I just want to make sure maybe it’s something like a Solenoid . Thanks

The two biggest probabilities are a bad transmission or a faulty installation. I lean towards the later. Not likely that it is something simple like a solenoid.
