Is it common for a 2006 Honda crv to be burning oil. I have used only synthetic oil and it has 147,000 miles

I have never had an issue prior to my last oil change. I usually have it changed every 5-
6000 miles since I bought it. It is a 4cylinder

Add a quart of valvoline high mileage oil. Then use it as a blend with your next oil change the. That worked for me.

A sudden increase in oil consumption can be caused by a clogged PCV valve. They cost only about $10.00 to replace and you can do it yourself with a wrench and a socket. The valve is located just above the alternator. Look for the hose coming down from the intake manifold and you will find where the valve screws in
