Replacing AC Compressor on 2006 Honda CRV- What is the best way to get access to the compressor? Through the bottom, top or removing parts of the front end?

Asked by MW89 Sep 15, 2015 at 12:24 PM about the 2006 Honda CR-V SE AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 honda CRV, I know how to replace the ac unit but being my
first time removing an ac compressor on this model I have been given
different advice about the best way to get access to the unit itself. Some
people have said removing the mud guard and going in from underneath the
car is the best and other have said to remove the power steering pump and
go in from above. And lastly to remove nearly the entire front end (bumper
and all) and going in direct (which i do not want to do). Thank you for you
help!
