High oil pressure

Asked by Shaytay76 Oct 05, 2016 at 01:21 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet S-10 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

106k miles immediately after replacing head 9yrs
ago my pressure tops out when driving  but goes
to 60-75% when idling. The car runs fine, its only
driven when other cars are being repaired so only
8k miles since replacing head. The mechanic said
nothing is wrong but this has always bothered me.
I would have continued to push the issue with him
but he went out of biz a few months later.

Your truck is fine, head gaskets and oil pressure won't be related anyway
