My 96 S10 Chevy has loud electrical disturbance sound then cuts out. Will idle OK but cuts out at higher speed.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine cuts out when accelerated. Will idle but not maintain higher speeds without cuting
out. Getting a loud electrical disturbance sound under the passenger dash before engine
stalls. So, is it:  timing belt? Fuel pump? or ECM? Fuel injectors?
