Question type: Car Customization

How hard would it be to put a 350 in a 96 4 cylinder 5
speed s10 I have a buddy saying that we can throw it in
without changing anything in it

You need everything for a V8, exhaust headers, mounts, tranny bell housing & crossmember, wire harness/sensors/engine computer, front springs & brakes. A 350sbc will fit in place of a 4.3/V6, same mounts, but NOT in place of a 4 cyl. Your best bet is to get a V8 donor truck to swap everything over. I picked up a V8 S10 donor chassis fairly cheap (around $300) minus the engine, so by far the best route to take for the parts, rather than getting them from speed catalogs.
