how do you get a fuel injection motor to start once it has ran out of gas

I cant get it to start

spray a little starter fluid in the air intake or in the throttle body and see if it starts if it starts and shuts off it could be your fuel pump or a simple fuse for the fuel pump or it can be your fuel filter or even your fuel pressure regulator ect but lets start by checking to see if any fuel is makeing its way up to the fuel rail
