1996 chevy s-10 4cyl. manual transmission. Hard to put in gear, while clutch engaged fully pickup jerks forward.

you might need a clutch but you need to check the fluid in the clutch master cylinder make sure you are full

this happens, just not quite as bad, every time my husband drives my truck. usually it seems to 'adjust' back to normal after i drive it again. That doesnt seem to help at all this time.

it could be the hydraulic part hard to say but are you sure you are pushing the peddle all the way to the floor? the reservoir is on the fire wall drivers side maybe like the pic. also do you have any leaks in the system?
