Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 1996 Chevrolet s10 2.2L and when I try to start it,
i have to pump the gas several times before it starts up.
Sometimes it will start right up. No codes. Only once has
it left small puddle of gas on the ground.

check for proper fuel pressure , test/replace tps , you're not pumping anything there''s no carburetor , what do the plugs look like ?
One or more fuel injectors are leaking or fuel pressure regulator is leaking or both are leaking.
I dont know the answer but I have the same issue,,crank right up in the mornings but when I switch off and leave it for a little bit it will take a little bit of turning over to crank,,I cant wait til its fixed!! Any help please???
