Got a 1999 Chevy S10 with a V6 , it quit on me, I replaced fuel filter & fuel pump, what else could cause this issue

My '99 Chevy S10 just quit on me, the fuel pump and filter were replaced but
neither one helped . What are the other possible reasons for this problem?
