Disconnected alternator to preclude feed back. Changed ignition switch and
manually operated to off position - no help, engine continues to run. Can only
be stopped by pulling 50 amp fuse in engine fuse box.What is the next step?
Seems like bad ignition switch. 2007 Saturn and 2009 pontiac had same issue. There was a recall for the ignition module. Not sure if yours was part of it.

Doe it have a after-market wiring harness or an after-market Ignition system (not ignition switch)? If so there is a power line in either or both that needs a backfeeding stop Diode in that line, you will need the after-market seller to identify this wire for placement or even a kit to include it.
