I have a 1987 Chevy Pickup with a crate engine. I start it and it runs for about 15 -20 seconds and then shuts off. I have replace the air intake hoses, fuel lines, fuel filter. When it was turned on then started to idle low i dumped gas into it and it shut off immediately. Could it be getting too much gas? Would that mean the carb is clogged possibly? 4 Answers

I have 91 S10 with the 4.3. I am not getting the new fuel pump to kick on the relay is reading fine. Fueses are all good. But the real question is, I have 12v at the relay and only 8 volts at the connector for the fuel pump. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I changed the fuel filter also. 2 Answers

Does this intermediate replace ign switch and checked all connection. When I turn ign switch on and headlights burn, fuel pump comes on and it will run. Jumped fuel pump and starter relay they work. Was rolling in 5th gear going 60, heard aloud screeching noise and it threw us forward in the seat and slowed it immediately to about 40.I pulled off to the side of the road and smoke was coming from under the truck.I looked around and couldn't see anything visibly wrong.I started it up again just fine and started rolling in 1st gear, then I tried to shift to 2nd the truck just stopped and wouldn't go into any gear.At this point the truck will start but when I let the clutch out, it dies(in neutral). Had to remove my drive shaft to be towed on towrope because it wouldn't roll smooth in neutral. When the engine is running now I don't feel any vibration through the gearshift anymore like how I used to before it broke down. What could it be? 3 Answers
