Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our Cavalier won't start. The engine is getting fuel and there is a spark. Since it has been very wet here, dried out plug boots and distributor, but no luck, although at times the car seems to be making an effort to turn over. No DTCs either. Anyone have any suffestions on hunting down the problem?

Have you checked the valves and pistons to make sure you are getting enough pressure?

try the oil pressure sending unit, and the knock sensor... if the knock sensor is bad the ignition is disabled because the computer thinks something is wrong.
