Overriding theft system

I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier that we
replaced the steering column in and need to
override theft system without going to
dealership. Help

Can you keep your old lock cylinder (and old keys) for the new column? Then no need for reprogramming for new keys. If you want the new keys, then you have no choice but to have it programmed at a dealership or qualified auto locksmith.
