Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 chevy s-10 and this happened a few months ago I was driving on
the highway when my head lights flashed off then back on then off again and
the truck died, when I turn the key every thing electric will come on the light,
radio and every thing else but when I try to start it nothing happens no sounds
of any kind what could most likely be the problem?

Bad wiring in the starting circuit would be my guess, I had a similar problem on a 88 s10 and it turned out to be the wires at the starter, they were basically broken

but would that cause it to stop running while driving down the road?
