how do I reset security fuel shut off on my 2000 s-10

here's what i found: 1.Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2.Observe the Security telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn off. 3.Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds. 4.Repeat steps 1-3 two more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes. Important: The vehicle theft deterrent system learns the key transponder information on the ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. 5.Start the vehicle. The vehicle has now learned the key transponder information and the PCM has now learned the fuel continue password. supposedly, that'll reset the whole alarm system. should work from there. have fun with that!

Mine resets for about a week and then does it again. Gets to be a pain in the butt.

Driving along and my light turns on noting happens truck works been like this 3 days now and thismorring my abs lights and radio started to flicker turned it off and back on light came on but truck runs fine

my 2000 4.3 still stats an when it does the fuel pump still shut off and engine shuts down

my truck had the abs lock light come on and I was driving and my gauges started going crazy and then my truck slowed down and stalled out.

i TRIED THIS CYCLING DEAL AND MY BLAZER WOULD NOT RESPOND....IT DOES THE EXACT SAME THING-DEAD IN THE WATER! IT SIMPLY STAYS IN THEFT MODE

Ive tried it and that does not work

if your gauges go crazy and while you are driving and you slow down or have erratic problems wit all electronics, your key switch is bad!! there are 16 contacts that are in there and they corrode and cause this, if your security light is flashing and you have a start ad shut off you need to bypass the security wires on the switch.

What if the security light is solid not blinking what does that mean?

If I let my 2001 blazer sit too long It won't start I have to choke the hel out of it with my hands and it takes a while
