yes, it's called hotwiring...basically connect the bold red to the small or stripey red and touch the purple to engage the starter....at least that was how to hotwire a '61 Buick...now I'd have to look at your electrical schematic to get the colors right....how in the hell are you getting past the aggressive steering lock mechanism?

if you are looking for wiring diagrams for the steering column, I have found that Bulldogsecurity.com is one of the best sites to use. Just go to the website, then down to vehicle wiring diagrams. then select your vehicle.
Things you should know. 1 The key cylinder connects to a switch that can be turned with cylinder removed,BUT it also pulls back the pin that unlocks the steering wheel. That's why you turn the whole cylinder and not just the key. I had to replace the switch.Witch required removal of air bag and steering wheel.
I had the same crank no start my problem was the ground wires on the back of the heads on 1995 chevy s10 with 4.3 w motor . It worked for me
Lost keysto932.8s10 anyway got where use screwdriver (difficult) week later keys found but now what ?A new stirring column and if so does it have to be a 9e model only?

Remove cylinder, remove pins from cylinder, put cylinder back in, put column and everything back together, now you have a working cylinder, that doesn't look stolen, problem is that ANY KEY OR THAT SIZE/SHAPE WILL TURN IGNITION.
