random misfire

I have a 2000 s10 4.3 that has a bad
miss and i changed the plugs and
distributor and distributor cap and
rotary button and it syill is missing
so i ran a diagnostic test and it said
random misfire so what does
ranfom misfire mean

I had the same problem with 99 Crown Vic did u put the orginals plugs in or after market. I would check those plugs Pepboys sells the orginals that Chev put in when making the car.

P0300 CHEVROLET - Cylinder Misfire Detected Random Cylinders....> Possible causes...> - Faulty spark plug (s) - Faulty ignition coil (s) - Clogged or faulty fuel injector (s) - Intake air leak - Fuel injectors harness is open or shorted - Fuel Injectors circuit poor electrical connection - Ignition coils harness is open or shorted - Ignition coils circuit poor electrical connection - Insufficient cylinders compression - Incorrect fuel pressure The P0300 code means that a cylinder(s) is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks, intake gaskets are common caused of multi-cylinder misfiring. If no leak are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs. my 96 2.2l has 0300 code. changed coils plugs wires injectors. get weak spark randomly. could ICM be the cause?
