Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I own a 2001 Chevrolet S10 4.3 let v6 extended cab. It started jerking on steep
hill inclines if I am driving at 60 miles per hour and eccelerating. I have
replaced the mass air flow sensor and paid 944.00 to replace the fuel injectors.
But it still jerks.

My truck started jerking under load like that found one of the plugs had a cracked tip, so I replaced all the plugs and ignition wires while I was there and no more jerking.

Thanks! I will suggest that to my mechanic as they seem dumbfounded as to the problem and have offered free labor to fix the problem after taking my 944.00.
Sounds like you have a decent shop there. Those are few and far between anymore, hang onto this shop. A lot of automotive scopes won't pick this up unless they have a frame-by- frame readouts. Good Luck
When this happens does the service engine soon light start flashing? If so the engine is misfiring and, like Gene said, it's most likely an ignition problem. If your shop finds it's an ignition problem have them do a complete tune up. New spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and distributor rotor. The ignition coil and ignition control module should be tested as well. Just to cover all the bases. Jim
