plugged in a power converter so i could use a drill to remove screws from a part of the
wheelchair lift (too hard to do with screwdriver). think i must have blown something
because it quit. replaced the fuses but still nothing. everything else in the van works.

You may have overheated the wires and burned them. Get a long extension cord and plug it into the house electrical outlet and then plug in your electric drill. Find the fuse to the power outlet/cigarette lighter and make sure it is good. See if you have power in the lines leaving the fuse box. follow the wire to the power outlet and see if you have electrical power up to the outlet itself. You may have melted s solder connection and have a lose wire.
