Why is my fuel tank blowing fuel back

Asked by Robert Nov 07, 2020 at 12:17 PM about the 2006 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4WD

I cannot put fuel into the tank without it blowing back, since I went through high
water a week ago. Anybody know if there's a solenoid stuck, shorted wire or
charcoal cannister blocked?
