can i make my 2001 impala 2 seats in the front instead of 3

and just put a console in the middle instead of it being a seat and a console

I'm sure you can, make sure there are holes in the floorboards to accept the seat rail hardware. I know 2000 to 2005 Impala's had the option of front buckled seats in the LS model, I won't see why not you couldn't do the swap. There might be some wiring differences with the seats though if they are power. Make sure you get the connectors too when you find the seats.
