1980 Dodge Ram 150 won't stay running when warm

Asked by motoman1970 Jan 24, 2016 at 08:21 PM about the 1994 Dodge RAM 1500 LT LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1980 Dodge Ram Plow truck that won't stay running when warm; It
seems to run for 15 minutes or so, then stalls. Will start, but stalls right away.
It has many new parts: Fuel pump, fuel filter, Distributor, ignition module, coil,
resistor, spark plugs, plug wires, fresh oil change, completely rebuilt carb. I
am baffled?

Or even a really bad vaccume leak. Check the one going to break booster

Thanks Hec4570. It could definitely be a big vacuum leak! I didn't think of that. It was also idling rough when running. It ran fine last week. I will check the brake booster and carb. Thanks again
