you replace the filter when you replace the pump. they are the same unit.

You can buy filter and pump separate if you don't want to spend the money to buy the whole assembly.

When Chrysler Diamler and GM (Chevy) got the dumb ass idea to put the fuel pump inside the tank they must have been hungover or something, even if there is access without dropping the tank, I don't know what they were thinking
