Removing the upper ball joint

I am trying to remove the upper ball
joint and no matter what I try it will not
budge. What should I try? I have looked
on line and it only shows ball joints
connected to a wishbone . Mine does
not have a wishbone.

Tried it.nothing. I have tried just about everything a non mechanic can think of including a small propane torch. Do you have any other ideas?

An air hammer can loosen things up when nothing else will.
