Why after oil and filter change does it seem like my transmission is messing up

I had an oil and filter change done on my 2001
chevy Malibu now my car takes longer to start and
when shifting from park reverse natural to drive its
rough anyway my dad did the oil change and he's
shady as hell but he unplugged somthing in the
front of the engine then the bolt in the back of the
engine idk does anyone have any idea on what
could possibly be the reason for my car shifting
roughly
