Adjust the parking brake. If the parking brake cable is stretched you might need to install a new one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_2tWegA65Q

Assuming it's parking that you are talking about not the brake. Remove the linkage arm and manually push lever up and see if it locks, if it does, adjust linkage, reconnect it and your set, if It still doesn't engage, u have transmission problem

Good point. The trans should hold the truck from rolling even without the e-brake on. If you have it in park and the truck rolls it is a transmission problem.

Make sure the shifter linkage is adjusted properly but if it is you are probably due for a trans rebuild.
